Linking Citizen Science to turn paper results into red panda conservation outputs in Khotang and Bhojpur Districts, Eastern Nepal

This project aims to increase the existing information on red pandas in eastern Nepal outside the protected area

developing citizen scientists. The broad objective of the project is to turn the previously endorsed red

panda conservation chapter in the operational plan (paper results) of the Community Forests into

conservation outputs that mandate to train and deploy Community Forest user groups (CFUGs) as citizen

scientists to monitor red panda by using in-field tracking and camera trapping, to conduct a community

and school outreach program.
