Biodiversity Conservation

Biodiversity conservation is an inherently global concern. Over the past few years, Nepal Himalayas has experienced direct threats like habitat degradation, illegal hunting and poaching, unsustainable natural resources collection, Human-wildlife conflict, alien invasive species, pollution and indirect drivers including inequitable access to forest benefits, lack of economic alternatives, population growth, and cultural and religious factors that influence local communities' behaviour in ways that impact biodiversity. So, NCI-Nepal targets to identify the conservation needs of those community people via research, awareness campaigns and participatory conservation interventions solely and in collaboration to maintain the ecological integrity of Nepal Himalayas.,  with government, local communities and organizational partnership.
